New pop duo “strangers” was formed by the production/writing team of Gino Lee & Lexi Riese. Both performers in their own right and from different sides of the globe, they came together the summer of 2018 after meeting at an open mic in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The two also have their own separate projects as individual musicians with Lee as an established artist originally from South Africa and Riese playing the New York circuit on the regular while studying music at NYU. 
 The pair initially began writing a handful of songs without any intention of starting a group. But after quickly realizing the ease and fun of working together, they decided to release music under the joint name “strangers”. Their first single, I Like came out on the 18th of January 2019, to critical acclaim, featured on numerous playlists and blogs all over the world.
